Power house ministries came into existence in 2012 as a result of the founder who was total orphan with out a single parent he kept roaming on the Kampala streets for number of good years. While on a street there used to be a man who kept preaching to all the street children to change, accept Jesus as their saviour. He preached for almost a year without us accepting that it was possible for someone to change for nothing to something one day, the preacher during the session mentioned that in their church they were preparing for lunch. We were forced to go church not because of the gospel but because of food only. While in the church, the pastor quoted that "Man will not survive on food alone but also on the word of God" he preached and after many respectable people came and gave testimonies but one thing touched my heart.
A gentleman was on the street but when he accepted Jesus he has now turned into a respectable man who can stand out of the crowd and respectable in the name of Jesus. After the service, I marked that gentleman I approached him and he gave me verses to keep reading in the bible and also told me the time for each service in their church. I picked interest in following Jesus I accepted him as my father since I was a total orphan. The preacher who now turned into my friend gave us a house next to the church on top of becoming the church member, we learnt how to read and interpret the bible, creating friends and also maintaining a church in general at heart, I kept on asking my self how best I could help other vulnerable children. This is how I thought about starting Power Mouse Ministries. Power house ministries started with a very humble background. After the years I spent in Kampala I got in touch with new friend who had a land in Mityana which was redundant.

He accepted to allow me use his land. I realized that once I use this land fully I could manage get food which I could use to feed my selected children. With a small house I was renting it could accommodate only nine children. We cultivated and sold half of the produce which supported us with basic needs and food for consumption. As time went on more children were I identified and we reached a total number of 25. Our small house couldn't accommodate us all so we rented nearby big house for them. In our big house, we have faced so many challenges. These are children whom we want to grow like others they have all the rights like other children but fulfilling this is still challenging. They need to go to school but scholastic materials are not enough, feeding them is also challenging because of limited funds, we prefer to see these children in good schools but getting school fees has proved to be hard; basic needs like clothes, medical , going where we can afford is hard due to long distances. With currently total number of 56 children we need more people as our staffs: for curricular activities and bible study. In all dear to avoid the problem we need another same tank like you given us last because in Sunny season water can't be enough yet now days we are fine we need to build our church on our land and even building our own house

The children that our sponsors support are all either orphans or from families in need who are unable to provide even for their children’s basic education due to poverty. Through sponsorship children with no opportunity to attend school are given the opportunity of a good education that will offer them and their families hope for the future.

Children sponsored by Power House Ministries are usually placed in non-government schools. This reflects our desire to offer the children we support the best education. They are placed in schools that offer a good quality of teaching, good resources and a positive atmosphere for learning. At the same time, we aim to keep a child as close to their home village as possible. In this way we hope to achieve our aim of giving children from deprived backgrounds a good education, which offers them the best opportunity for a bright future
